The Community Education Office develops and implements programs to promote awareness of the South Australian Parliament to the community and supports the Parliament’s place in the F-10 Australian Curriculum, SACE, and adult education.
The Community Education Office focuses on the following areas:
- education programs and special events for visiting schools;
- resources for classroom use;
- professional learning for teachers;
- education programs for adult learners (including tertiary students and English as an Additional Language/Dialect learners);
- programs for public sector employees;
- wider community engagement for the general public and visiting organisations;
- education services for Members and electorate office staff; and
- effective inter-parliamentary relations with other parliamentary educators and education agencies involve in civics, legal studies or citizenship programs.
