Whyalla Youth Advisory Committee is a group of 14 young people aged between 12-25 who meet at least once a month at the Whyalla City Council to address local youth issues.

The YAC program provides an opportunity for young people to share their views and to work together to develop solutions to issues which affect their lives and their communities. The YAC ensures local young people have a voice and are heard by the Elected Members of the Whyalla City Council with the opportunity to report their progress of activities at monthly Council meetings.
